August 2025 Electricity Tariffs Remain Stable

The electricity tariff per kWh which is valid from Monday (11/8/2025) to Sunday (17/8/2025) has not changed. This shows that the electricity tariff for the next week remains in accordance with the previous announcement from the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM). The announcement was issued on Sunday (6/29/2025), where the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources has set the electricity tariff for the third quarter (July-September) 2025 for 13 non-subsidized customers.

The updating of non-subsidized electricity tariffs is carried out without changes, with the main reason to maintain people’s purchasing power and increase the competitiveness of the industry. In addition, the electricity tariff for 24 groups of subsidized customers also did not adjust. This group includes social customers, poor households, small businesses, small industries, and customers of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs).

President Director of PLN, Darmawan Prasodjo, said that the determination of the stability of electricity tariffs is part of the government’s efforts to encourage national economic growth. He also emphasized that PLN is ready to fully support by continuing to maintain the reliability of electricity supply and improve the quality of service for all customers.

The third quarter electricity tariff is determined based on the Regulation of the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Number 7 of 2024 concerning Electricity Tariffs provided by PT PLN (Persero). Adjustment of electricity tariffs for non-subsidized customers is carried out every three months, with reference to changes in the realization of macroeconomic parameters such as exchange rates, Indonesian crude oil prices (Indonesian Crude Price/ICP), inflation, and reference coal prices (HBA).

List of Electricity Tariffs Per Kwh for All Customer Classes

The following is a list of electricity tariffs per kWh applicable from Monday (11/8/2025) to Sunday (17/8/2025):

  • Group R-1/Tr small power 900 VA-RTM: IDR 1,352 per kWh
  • Group R-1/Tr small power 1,300 VA: IDR 1,444.70 per kWh
  • Group R-1/Tr small power 2,200 VA: IDR 1,444.70 per kWh
  • Class R-2/Tr Medium Power 3,500-5,500 VA: IDR 1,699.53 per kWh
  • Group R-3/Tr, TM of power above 6,600 VA: IDR 1,699.53 per kWh
  • Group B-2/Tr small power 6,600 VA-200 KVA: IDR 1,444.70 per kWh
  • Class B-3/TM, TT Medium Power above 200 KVA: IDR 1,114.74 per kWh
  • Group I-3/TM power above 200 KVA: IDR 1,114.74 per kWh
  • Group I-4/TT power above 30,000 KVA: IDR 996.74 per kWh
  • Group P-1/TR power 6,600 VA-200 KVA: IDR 1,699.53 per kWh
  • Group P-2/TM medium voltage above 200 KVA: IDR 1,522.88 per kWh
  • Group P-3/TR for public street lighting: IDR 1,699.53 per kWh
  • Group L/TR, TM, TT power at various voltages: IDR 1,644.52 per kWh
  • Group S-1/TR 450 VA power: IDR 325 per kWh
  • Group S-1/TR 900 VA power: IDR 455 per kWh
  • Group S-1/TR Power 1,300 VA: IDR 708 per kWh
  • Group S-1/TR Power 2,200 VA: IDR 760 per kWh
  • Group S-1/TR Power 3,500 VA-200 KVA: IDR 900 per kWh
  • Group S-2/TM power more than 200 KVA: IDR 925 per kWh
  • Group R-1/TR 450 VA power: IDR 415 per kWh
  • Group R-1/TR 900 VA power: IDR 605 per kWh

Thus, the electricity tariff that is valid from Monday (11/8/2025) to Sunday (17/8/2025) remains stable for all PLN customers.
