Redmagic 11s Pro and new gaming tablet slide, impressive specifications

Announcement of RedMagic 11s Pro Launch Date
Redmagic has finally revealed the official launch date for its newest gaming smartphone, the RedMagic 11S Pro. This device will be released in China on May 18. As usual, Redmagic re-emphasized extreme performance aimed at mobile game fans.
From the initial teaser shared by the company, Redmagic doesn’t seem to just use the regular flagship chipset. They chose the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 \”Leading Version”, which is a special version with higher performance than the standard variant. The concept is similar to the “For Galaxy” Snapdragon chip that Samsung uses in their flagship line, but Redmagic seems to provide a more aggressive upgrade.
Special chipset with a clock of up to 4.74GHz
Redmagic revealed that the chipset used in the RedMagic 11S Pro must go through three stages of rigorous testing before passing as a \”leading version”. One of the most extreme stages is high-clock testing. Only the chip that is able to run stably at the 4.74GHz frequency will proceed to the next stage.
After that, the chip was tested again using a heavy stress scenario to see the stability of the voltage, temperature, and power efficiency in extreme conditions. Simply put, RedMagic chose the best Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip with the highest quality to be installed on the RedMagic 11S Pro.
For comparison, most other smartphones that use the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 from brands such as Xiaomi, IQOO, and OnePlus are generally stuck at 4.61GHz only.
Main Focus on Staying Gaming
With the combination of hardware and aggressive tuning, Redmagic claims that RedMagic 11S Pro is capable of running more than 200 games at resolutions up to 2K and a refresh rate of 144fps. Some of the games mentioned in the teaser include Call of Duty and Break Through The Dark Zone.
Interestingly, this smartphone is also called supporting resolution upscaling technology and frame interpolation when playing games to produce smoother visuals. However, high performance alone is actually not enough for a gaming cellphone. The most important thing is the stability of performance in the long term, especially when used to play heavy games for hours.
This is where Redmagic is usually quite superior to competitors. In the last few generations, they have continued to experiment with various cooling systems ranging from large vapor chambers, active internal fans, to liquid cooling to keep the temperature stable. Therefore, the RedMagic 11S Pro is expected to return to bring the extreme cooling system so that its performance can be maintained longer without throttling.
New Tablet Gaming is also present
In addition to gaming smartphones, Redmagic will also introduce a new gaming tablet called Gaming Tablet 5 Pro. This tablet is rumored to use a 9-inch OLED screen with a super high refresh rate of up to 185Hz. For performance, the device will reportedly also use the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 which is combined with 24GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage depending on the variant.
