HyperOS 3 Update Expansion to Older Devices
Xiaomi has extended its latest interface system update, HyperOS 3, to a variety of older flagship devices. This update covers models that have been released since 2023. Some of the devices that have received this update include the Mix Fold 3, Xiaomi 13, 13 Pro, 13 Ultra, and the Redmi Note 13–15 series.
HyperOS 3 comes with various interesting new features. One of the most prominent is the fresh updated look and quick menu called Hyper Island. This feature allows users to access media, navigation and notifications more practically. In addition, there are also improvements to smoother cross-device synchronization.
This update was carried out in stages, and several flagship models from three years ago, such as the Mix Fold 3 folding cellphone and the Xiaomi 13, Pro and Xiaomi 13 Ultra trio, have received the HyperOS 3 update. Not only flagship devices, several mid-range models from the Redmi Note series released in 2023-2025 are also officially on the list of upgrade recipients.

According to the GizmoChina report, the global version of HyperOS 3 for the HP models above is still in the internal testing phase. This means that users of the Xiaomi 13 series to Redmi Note 13 series outside China will likely receive this update in the next few weeks.
For Mi Fans in Indonesia, you can check the availability of HyperOS 3 updates periodically via the menu Settings > About Phone > System Updates > Check for Updates. If there is already a HyperOS 3 update package, click “download/install”.
Previously, HyperOS 3 debuted and greeted global users for the first time via the Xiaomi 15T and 15T Pro which were released in Europe at the end of last October. After that, Xiaomi also released HyperOS 3 for a number of other compatible Xiaomi, Redmi and Poco devices.
New HyperOS 3 Features
HyperOS 3 brings a new appearance, UI improvements, performance optimization, and various additional features that are also present on Xiaomi’s latest devices. This HyperOS 2 successor interface, one of them, brings Hyper Island. It is stated that this is a new quick menu which functions to access media, navigation and notifications on the cellphone more practically.
Apart from that, Xiaomi is also claimed to have perfected cross-device synchronization, so that users can connect between Xiaomi phones, tablets or other wearable devices more smoothly. Through this HyperOS 3 update, Xiaomi is starting to strive to provide a more integrated ecosystem experience, as well as bridging the gap between Xiaomi software and Apple’s operating system (iOS).
