Samsung Devices That Won’t Get the One UI 8 Update

Samsung is known as one of the smartphone brands that is most active in providing software updates to its users. Although this list is not yet official from Samsung, this prediction is quite reasonable if you look at Samsung’s previous software update policy. This means that users of devices on the list must continue to use the old UI version, or consider upgrading if they want to experience the latest features.

On the other hand, devices that are not on the list will most likely receive the One UI 8 update. Some examples are the latest series such as the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S25, Galaxy Z Fold6, Z Flip6, as well as several new generation Galaxy A and M.

One UI 8 Release Schedule Starting September 2025

Samsung has opened the One UI 8 beta program since May 2025 for several Galaxy S25 series in certain countries. This program is also extended to other devices such as the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S23, and the latest foldable series Galaxy Z Fold6 and Z Flip6.

For the stable version, Samsung will officially start rolling it out in September 2025, starting with the Galaxy S25 series. After that, the update will gradually roll out to other devices over the next few months according to Samsung’s distribution schedule.

The first countries to receive the beta program include South Korea, the United Kingdom, the United States and India. After that, the update will expand to other regions. With this pattern, Samsung users in Indonesia may be able to experience the One UI 8 update a few weeks after the global release.

However, again, older devices that have ended their support period will likely not receive this update. Therefore, it is important for Samsung users to always monitor official information via the Samsung Members application.
