Ryzen AI 400 Series Launch in Indonesia
AMD officially launched the Ryzen AI 400 Series as the latest generation mobile processor for Copilot+ PC laptops. The launch was held in Jakarta on May 20, 2026, focusing on AI performance, power efficiency, multitasking, and the expansion of AI laptop options in the Indonesian market. This processor is designed for various user segments, from mainstream users to gamers.
AMD places the Ryzen AI 400 series in response to the needs of modern computing which increasingly relies on artificial intelligence. This processor is used for productivity, data analysis, content creation, and daily use of AI applications. The main attraction of the Ryzen AI 400 Series is in the NPU capability of up to 60 TOPs, which exceeds the Minimum Copilot+ PC needs and allows AI processing to run directly on the device.
The Ryzen AI 400 Series is built with Zen 5 architecture and AMD XDNA 2-based NPU 2. Featured Features of Ryzen AI 400 Series
The Ryzen AI 400 Series comes with a configuration of up to 12 CPU cores, integrated AMD Radeon 800M series graphics, and faster memory support. This combination is designed to deliver high performance, a more responsive AI experience, and battery life that remains efficient in modern laptops.
The highest variant, AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 475, has 12 cores and 24 threads, boost clock up to 5.2GHz, total cache 36MB, AMD Radeon 890M graphics, CTDP 15-54W, and NPU up to 60 tops. AMD also prepared several other variants, including Ryzen AI 9 HX 470, Ryzen AI 9 465, Ryzen AI 450, Ryzen AI 7 445, Ryzen AI 5 435, and Ryzen AI 5 430.
Most of these variants have brought NPU 50 Tops, so they are still included in the modern AI laptop class. In addition to the Ryzen AI 400 series, AMD also introduced the Ryzen AI Max + 392 for ultra-thin premium laptops. This processor targets users who need higher performance for AI, gaming, rendering, and creative work.
Ryzen AI MAX+ 392 comes with 12 cores and 24 threads, boost clock up to 5.0GHz, total cache 76MB, AMD Radeon 8060S graphics, 45-120W CTDP, NPU 50 Tops, and 40 Graphics Cus. AMD positioned this chip as a solution for premium laptops that require strong integrated graphics without compromising portability.
Software and ecosystem support
AMD also expanded software support via ROCM 7.2 for the Ryzen AI 400 series. This open software platform is available through COMFYUI integration and is intended to make it easier for developers and users to run AI workloads. Software support is important because the competition for AI laptops is not only determined by the Tops numbers. User experience also depends on compatible applications, stable drivers, and an ecosystem ready to leverage NPU capabilities.
Laptops are starting to come from various brands
The Ryzen AI 400 series powered laptops have been available since the first quarter of 2026. AMD said this line of devices comes from a number of large OEMs, including Acer, Asus, HP, Gigabyte, and Lenovo. Asus brings this processor to the ZenBook S16 OLED line, ZenBook 14 OLED, VivoBook S14 OLED, and ROG Zephyrus G14. Acer presents it through Acer Aspire 14 AI and Acer Nitro V 16 AI. HP and Lenovo also expressed their support for expanding AMD-based AI laptops in Indonesia.
AMD also presented the bundle program with A.V. Mapping. This program runs from May 20 to November 30, 2026 for the purchase of certain AMD Ryzen AI laptops from participating retailers. The deadline for redemption is 31 December 2026.
The launch of the Ryzen AI 400 Series shows that the AI laptop market in Indonesia is starting to move more seriously.
