Don’t use soap, this is how to clean the electric kettle properly

Using an electric kettle is very practical because it makes it easier for us to heat water. However, there are several things that need to be considered when caring for this tool to keep it clean and safe to use. One of the important things is not washing the electric kettle with ordinary cleaning soap. Here are some ways to clean the dirt on the electric kettle:

Fill the teapot with water

The first step that needs to be done is to fill the teapot with half of its capacity. After that, turn on the teapot until the water boils. Filling water only half the capacity helps facilitate the cleaning process later. If the water is fully filled, it will be more difficult to clean the dirt that sticks to the inside of the teapot.

Add vinegar

After the water boils, add 1 to 2 tablespoons of vinegar to the teapot. Let the mixture settle for about 20 minutes. This process helps remove stains and dirt that sticks in the teapot. Vinegar has acidic properties that are effective in removing mineral impurities or sticky stains.

teapot cleaning

After 20 minutes, dispose of the water in the teapot. Vinegar and boiling water will help clean the dirt in the teapot. If there are still stains that are difficult to clean, use soft foam to brush the inside of the teapot. After that, rinse with clean water until all the remaining vinegar is gone.

Clean the teapot filter

In addition to the inside of the teapot, the filter also needs to be cleaned. Use vinegar and soft foam to gently rub the sieve. Once clean, boil the plain water in the teapot again. Boiling water will help remove the remaining stains that are still left behind. After that, flush the teapot with hot water and let it dry before storing it in a cool place.
