Oppo Reno16 Launched in Indonesia, Prices Start at IDR 7.99 Million

The latest smartphone from Oppo, Reno16 Series, was launched in Indonesia on Friday (3/7). This series consists of three models, namely Reno16 Pro 5G, Reno16 5G, and Reno16 F 5G. This product is specially designed for young people with a focus on the features of artificial intelligence (AI), increased camera capabilities, and modern design.

Jiang Linlin, Oppo Indonesia’s Chief Marketing Officer, explained that the Reno16 Series was created to meet the needs of the younger generation in creating content and increasing productivity. According to him, today’s young generation not only uses cell phones to communicate, but also to create works, build identity, and share their stories every day.

“Therefore, we have designed the Oppo Reno16 Series so that the process of creating content feels as easy as one click,” he said at the launch in Jakarta, Friday (07/03/2026).

In terms of specifications, the Reno16 Series comes with several updates, ranging from 3D planetary design to high-resolution cameras equipped with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and telephoto cameras. The AI Photography feature is also integrated directly on the device. The Reno16 Pro 5G variant has a 200 MP ultra clear camera, while all models carry a 50 MP ultra-wide front camera.

In the software sector, the Reno16 Series runs ColorOS 16 with a number of new AI features such as AI Mind Space, AI Mind Pilot, AI Bill Manager, to AI Menu Translation. These features leverage the integration of several AI models, including ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity.

To support performance, the Reno16 Pro 5G is equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 8550 Super chipset, while the Reno16 5G uses the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4. The battery capacity reaches 6,700 mAh on the Reno16 Pro 5G and Reno16 5G, while the Reno16 F 5G is equipped with a 7,000 mAh battery with support for 80W SuperVOOC fast charging.

The price of the Reno16 Pro 5G variant of 12 GB RAM and 256 GB of storage is Rp. 14,999,000. Meanwhile, the Reno16 5G is sold in two options, namely the 12 GB/256 GB RAM variant for Rp. 12,999,000 and 8GB/256GB RAM for Rp. 11,999,000. The Reno16 F 5G is marketed at a price of Rp. 8,699,000 for the 8GB/256GB RAM variant and Rp. 7,999,000 for the 8GB/128GB RAM variant.
