Samsung Doesn’t Develop AI for Galaxy S24, Instead Rely on Google Technology

BCollaboration with the Google Cloud, Samsung Electronics and the Google Cloud Division announced a long-term partnership that will bring generative artificial intelligence technology running on Google’s cloud infrastructure to owners of Samsung phones around the world. Samsung did not develop AI independently but became the first Google Cloud partner to present Gemini Pro and Imagen 2 powered by Vertex AI for their Galaxy S24 via Google Cloud.

Greet Gemini Pro: Samsung Rescue in AI World

Because Samsung did not develop AI independently, Samsung is now the first company to bring the Gemini Pro model to consumers on the Vertex AI platform. Initially designed to be multimodal, Gemini models freely understand and summarize information, process, and combine various types of data, including text, code, images, and video. Generally used in Samsung applications – the owner of the Galaxy S24 series can use the summary feature available in the Notes, Voice Recorder, and Keyboard applications. Collaboration with Gemini Pro also means Samsung will provide users with Google Cloud core features such as data protection, security, and privacy.

Breakthrough with Gemini Ultra: First Trial by Samsung

As part of a partnership with Google, Samsung is also one of the first customers to test Gemini Ultra, the biggest and strongest model of Google for a very demanding task. Locally, the Galaxy S24 smartphone will also be equipped with a Gemini Nano, which will be integrated into the Android 14 operating system – the most efficient Gemini model for tasks on the device.

Samsung Galaxy S24 smartphone users also have access to the Imagen 2 feature, an image creator developed by Google DeepMind. It helps edit graphic files in gallery applications on the latest smart phones from Korean manufacturers.
