List of Xiaomi phones that no longer get updates
Several models of mobile phones from the Xiaomi brand have now been included in the list of end-of-life (EOL). This means that the device will no longer receive security updates and the operating system. This announcement was made by the company over time and technology development.
One of the phones that is included in the EOL list is the Redmi A1, which was released in September 2022. This device is also officially available in Indonesia. Lower-class phones usually only get a three-year software update guarantee. Thus, Redmi A1 has now entered the final period of update support. The operating system used on this device is limited to Android 12 with the MIUI 13 interface.
In addition, there are also middle-class phones that are included in the EOL list, namely the Poco M5. This phone is also officially sold in Indonesia and released in September 2022. Poco M5 gets a guarantee of OS upgrades of up to three generations, so it’s only natural that it is currently on the EOL list. Currently, the device is running the Android 14 operating system with the HyperOS 1 interface.
On the other hand, for high-end phones, two Xiaomi models, namely the Xiaomi 11T and 11T Pro, are also included in the EOL list. These two devices are now using the Android 14 operating system with the HyperOS 1 interface. The device, which was released around September 2021, was previously promised to receive a security update for four years. Therefore, in theory, the official update support from Xiaomi will end this year.

Users who have one of the nine models of the phone can still use their device as usual. However, the device will be more vulnerable to security loopholes because it no longer receives the latest update from Xiaomi. It is important for users to pay attention to data security and privacy, and consider alternative updates if needed.
