ColorOS 16 release schedule and Oppo phones that can be updated
Launch ColorOS 16 by OPPO
Oppo has just launched the latest update for their user interface, ColorOS 16, globally on Wednesday (29/10/2025). This update was released along with the launch of the Find X9 series in various regions of Europe. Oppo has also announced a list of devices that will receive the update and its release schedule.
In the early stages, in November 2025, ColorOS 16 will be available for flagship devices and OPPO folding phones. The update distribution will then be expanded to another model in December 2025, and continues until the first quarter (Q1) 2026. Here is a complete list of devices that will receive the update:

Improved design and animation
ColorOS 16 delivers a design inspired by light and shadow interactions in nature, creating a more dynamic and natural interface. The animation system is also updated to provide a faster and more responsive interaction experience.
Some of the new features in ColorOS 16 include:
- Luminous Rendering Engine: Set the visual elements so that the interface transition feels smooth.
- Trinity Engine: Optimizing resources up to the chip level, including power allocation and power consumption efficiency.
- moving wallpapers on lockscreen: Supports photos and videos as wallpaper, with new font options and Always On Display (AOD).
- Flux Home Screen: Allows users to resize app and folder icons.
- Live Alerts Support Many Apps: Displays notifications and system information around the front camera hole.
AI improvements and new features
On the AI side, Oppo improved features such as AI Eraser, AI Unblur, and AI Reflection Remover. They also launched a new feature called AI Portrait Glow to improve photos in low light conditions.
ColorOS 16 also updates the O+ Connect Suite, which allows the phone to work better in synchronizing notifications, file transfers, and cross-platform device management on Mac and Windows PCs.
