New Features of ChatGPT 2025: AI can play Spotify and book hotel rooms!

Changes in the Future of Digital Interaction
The world of conversation is now undergoing major changes. With the presence of a new feature called the Apps SDK, ChatGPT 2025 is able to interact directly with various popular applications. This makes users no longer have to exit the chat window to perform certain actions.
The Apps SDK feature allows ChatGPT to book hotels through Booking.com, search for a house in Zillow, or even set up playlists via Spotify. All these activities can be done through only one conversation. The CEO of OpenAI, Sam Altman, called this feature a “natural leap” from conversation to action. In an official statement, he said, “Welcome to the future of digital interaction.”
Not just an assistant, but a bridge between the user and the app
Through the Apps SDK, ChatGPT turns into a bridge between the user and the application. With just one natural instruction, the user can browse the property list, plan a trip, or prepare presentation material without switching screens. In a live demo, an engineer shows how ChatGPT can filter the list of houses in Zillow that has only three bedrooms and three bathrooms—or makes a party playlist automatically on Spotify. All done through one conversation.
Nick Turley, Head of ChatGPT at OpenAI, confirmed that this feature will develop rapidly. He said, “In the next six months, ChatGPT will evolve from a very useful application into something that feels like an operating system.”
Extensive collaboration and privacy
The first launch of the SDK Apps collaborated with major partners such as Booking.com, Canva, Coursera, Figma, Expedia, Spotify, and Zillow. Several other names such as Uber, Doordash, and Alltrails will follow later this year. However, this feature is not yet available in Europe due to the stricter data protection rules. OpenAI confirms that privacy remains a top priority. Spotify, for example, stated in its official release that they will not share user data with OpenAI for model training. Turley added, all interactions will adjust to the user’s privacy settings.
Altman also revealed that OpenAI has long targeted the corporate market, but only now is their technology ready to meet complex business needs. He said, “We waited until this model was fully ripe. Now the time has come.”
A new era in digital interaction
With 800 million weekly users, ChatGPT is now at a new point of evolution. He was no longer the assistant who answered, but the liaison who acted. Conversation is now not just text, but the main interface to the digital world.
A new era has begun—where one sentence in the chat can play songs, book a hotel room, or lead you to a new home. The world feels more integrated, and conversation becomes the control center of everything.
