Redmi 13R 5G : Dimensity 6100 and 50 megapixel camera
XIaomi has just introduced an affordable smartphone, the Redmi 13R 5G, in China. This new product is very similar to the previously introduced Redmi 13C 5G model. The price of the Redmi 13R 5G is 999 yuan ($140). Although manufacturers have not announced when this device will be sold, they offer a newsletter subscription on their official website to find out when this smartphone will be available for pre-orders.
Awesome screen and design
Redmi 13R 5G is equipped with a 6.74-inch IPS display with 1600×720 pixels resolution, with a 90 Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 600 nits (a typical brightness 450 cd/m²). This screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass to protect against mechanical damage.
Tough performance with Dimensity 6100+
The Redmi 13R 5G is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ processor (two Cortex-A76 cores with a frequency of 2.2 GHz, six Cortex-A55 cores with a frequency of 2 GHz, and a Mali-G57MC graphics core). This new product is only available in one configuration, namely with 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage.
Advanced camera system
On the front of the device, there is a 5 megapixel selfie camera that supports 1080p video recording at 30 frames per second. Meanwhile, the main camera of the Redmi 13R 5G combines a 50-megapixel sensor (f/1.8) and a 0.8-megapixel secondary sensor. The difference between this new product and the Redmi 13C 5G which was previously introduced only lies in the shape of the main camera island, namely the large black box on the top of the back.
Connectivity and other features
The Redmi 13R 5G supports 5G communication standards, two SIM cards, and has a slot for a microSD memory card. This smartphone is also equipped with a 3.5 mm audio jack, Bluetooth 5.3 support, and FM radio. The fingerprint scanner is located on the side lock button, but it should be noted that there is no NFC support.
Thin and light design
The thickness of the Redmi 13R 5G is 8.2 mm, with a weight of 195 g. The device is powered by a 5000mAh battery and supports 18W charging, although there is only a 10W charger included in the sales box. The color variants that will be available include black, green, and purple.
