Spotify Subscription Price Adjustments in Several Regions

Spotify’s music streaming platform announced monthly subscription price adjustments to its users in several regions, including Indonesia. This announcement was made through the official Spotify website, on Monday (4/8/2025). In a statement, Spotify said that in the coming months, premium customers in several markets such as South Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Europe, Latin America, and Asia Pacific will receive emails explaining their subscription updates.

According to Spotify, this step is carried out as a form of company commitment in providing global-based services and personalized experience for every user. To continue innovation related to new products and features, Spotify hopes to provide a better experience to its users. One of the efforts to achieve this is to increase the price of Spotify Premium subscriptions per month.

Subscription Price Change

Although KompasTekno has not received official information regarding the price increase from email, if you visit the Spotify site based in Indonesia, there is a change in subscription prices for each package. Here are the details of the price changes:

Individual Premium Package: from Rp 54,990 to Rp 59,900 per month.
Premium Family Package: from Rp 86,900 to Rp 94,900 per month.
Premium Student Package: from IDR 27,500 to IDR 29,900 per month.

However, this price increase is not accompanied by an increase in the features or benefits provided. Exclusive features remain the same as before, it’s just that there is a price adjustment for each package.

Subscription package change

One of the other changes that occur is the loss of the mini package, namely the subscription package that is paid every week. Currently, only individual, duo, family, and student premium packages are available.
