ZTE Libero Flip Cheapest Folding Phone in the World

ZTE, in collaboration with SoftBank subsidiary Y!mobile, introduced the ZTE Libero Flip, ZTE’s first vertical 5G foldable phone. This cellphone is sold for 63,000 yen (around 6.5 million Rupiah). With pre-orders already underway, the Libero Flip is set to launch this February 29 in Japan, giving consumers a glimpse into the future of mobile communications.

ZTE Libero Flip with Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 and 6GB+128GB Configuration

At the center of the Libero Flip is the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 mobile platform. This device comes with one storage configuration, namely 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. This phone has an internal screen measuring 6.9 inches with a resolution of 2790×1188, complemented by a comfortable round external screen measuring 1.43 inches. Elegant Design and Building

In terms of design, ZTE offers the Libero Flip in three stylish color options: gold, white and blue. This phone has a slim body with a width of 76mm and a thin profile of 7.3mm when opened (15.5mm when folded). It weighs 214g and comes with an IP42 dust and water resistance rating.

In terms of battery life, the Libero Flip has a powerful 4310mAh capacity and supports 33W QC4+/PD3.0 fast charging. This device can be fully charged in 73 minutes. For safe unlocking, the device comes with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and facial recognition. With support for Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, and FeliCa compatible NFC, the Libero Flip offers a comprehensive suite of connectivity options.

ZTE Libero Flip Comes with Another Name

Another clamshell foldable phone from its subsidiary brand, Nubia, appeared in the IMEI database under the name Nubia Flip 5G with model number NX724J in December last year. Yesterday, this device received 3C certification with support for 33W fast charging. The Nubia Flip 5G could be a rebranded version of the ZTE Libero Flip. However, there has been no official announcement regarding the release date of the Nubia Flip 5G.
