Apple Inaugurates iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max

DAt the end of the grand event titled Wonderlust, Apple inaugurated its latest flagship, the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max. Both were introduced through a live broadcast on Apple’s official YouTube channel on Wednesday (13/9/2023) early morning WIB.
“This is the most pro-produced iPhone model we’ve ever made,” Apple CEO Tim Cook said, quoted from a live broadcast.
Thinner design with wider screen
At first glance, the design language of the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max is still synonymous with its predecessor. However, the frame (bezel) is made thinner so that the screen-to-body ratio is wider.
However, the screen size is still 6.1 inches for the Pro variant and 6.7 inches for the Pro Max. The screen also still uses the latest OLED type from Apple with a maximum brightness level of 2,000 nits and ceramic shield protection.
Lightweight grade 5 titanium material
Like the leaks circulating, the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max material is made of Titanium Grade 5 which allows lighter weight. Apple claims this material is also more durable than the stainless steel used in the previous series.
This is because the same titanium is used on rover exploring Mars in space. Although, the consequence is that the color variants on the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max can’t be as flexible as the regular iPhone 15 and Plus.
Elegant color choice
The iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max come in three color models, namely white, blue, and black.
Innovative Features: Action Button
Moving on to other features, the iPhone 15 Pro series is now equipped with an action button like the Apple Watch. This button will recognize the pressure to change the desired mode. For example, to launch a voice memo, a camera, or activate the accessibility feature.
When using the Action Button, the Dynamic Island feature on the top side of the screen will also react. Some of the mainstay features on Dynamic Island include Promotion, Extreme Dynamic Range, and Always On Display, and Standby Mode which was previously introduced on iOS 17 at the WWDC event.
Latest A17 Pro Bionic Chip
Regarding the chip, the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max series rely on the latest and most fierce A17 Pro Bionic on the market today. The chip uses the 3nm architecture which was first embedded in the iPhone.
This chip consists of 4-core focusing on efficiency, and 2-core performance support. Overall, it can improve performance by up to 10% faster than its predecessor.
Neural engines are also 2x faster to carry out machine learning functions, claimed to be able to perform 35 trillion operations per second.
With a chip like this, the mobile gaming experience will be smoother and uninterrupted. In addition, the visual and image processing capabilities are also more stable.
USB-C and 10Gbps transfer speed
Just like the regular iPhone 15 and Plus, the Pro series has also replaced the lighting port with USB-C. The difference is, in the Pro variant there is a USB controller which allows the transfer speed to be 10Gpbs.
Camera upgrade
Moving on to photography, the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max still rely on a 48MP camera, but with a larger sensor size. The default resolution is 24MP which can capture images at a depth of 24mm, 28mm, and 35mm.
The difference from the regular iPhone 15 and Plus lies in the more sophisticated telephoto capabilities. Thanks to the 12MP secondary camera, it can optically enlarge the image up to 5x.
The wide camera also has a slight improvement, namely the anti-reflective feature when used at night. In addition, there is also macro support for sharper and more detailed objects.
Professional video recording
Video recording also now supports ACES, a global standard for coloring that allows video production to feel professional.
the price remains the same
With various improvements in terms of design, material, camera, and performance, the selling price of the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max is still the same as its predecessor series when it was first released. The iPhone 15 Pro is set to start at US $ 999 (Rp 15.3 million) and the iPhone 15 Pro Max is priced from US $ 1,199 (Rp 18.4 million).
