Launch of the Community Feed feature in Character.ai

The social platform based on artificial intelligence, Character.ai, officially launched the Community Feed feature on the Android and iOS mobile apps. Previously, this feature has been available in the web version since last June, and is now expanded to mobile devices to expand the reach of user interaction. With this launch, users can more easily access and participate in community-shared content.

Through its official blog, character.ai explained that this feed feature allows users to share various types of short content such as artificial characters, conversational pieces, to creative AI-controlled videos. In this social feed, users can post various types of content, including:

• Chat Snippets: Conversation Piece with Chatbot AI featuring the character’s personality uniquely.
• CHARACTER CARDS: Preview of AI characters that other users can directly chat with.
• Streams: A new feature that allows AI characters to discuss, argue, and appear in vlog or roast battle format.
• FX avatar: Especially for paid subscribers, this feature allows the creation of short video-based AI characters made by users.
• ai image: Visuals resulting from interactions with characters can also be shared to feeds.

Security remains a priority

Character.ai emphasized that user comfort remains the main focus. Therefore, all content uploaded in the feed will be supervised by an AI-based automatic moderation system, including text and video identifiers, and supported by the Trust & internal safety. In addition, users are also given a role in maintaining security with the Community Moderation feature to hide or mark inappropriate content.
