Extend the STNK fast, just use the application

STNK renewal can now be done digitally

People now no longer need to queue at the Samsat office to pay vehicle taxes and extend the Vehicle Number Certificate (STNK). This process can be done using the Signal application, which is a national digital service. With this feature, vehicle owners can carry out the entire process only through mobile phones.

STNK is an official document that must be owned by every driver. Apart from being proof that the vehicle is registered, the STNK is also a protection for the owner from sanctions during raids on the highway. With the presence of digital services, the STNK renewal process becomes easier and more practical, especially for people who have high mobility.

The following are the steps to extend the STNK online through the Signal application:

Signal application user registration

1. Download the Signal app from Playstore or Appstore.
2. Fill in personal data such as NIK, name according to e-KTP, email address, mobile number, password, and repeat password.
3. Upload a photo of e-KTP.
4. Perform facial biometric verification by selfie.
5. Enter the OTP code sent via SMS.
6. Registration was successful.
7. Verify again by clicking on the link sent to the registered email.

Vehicle data registration

1. Select the “Add Motor Vehicle Data” menu.
2. Choose a vehicle in your own name.
3. Enter the motor vehicle registration number.
4. Enter the last five digits of the engine frame number.
5. After that, a warning will appear that the document was successfully added.
6. Confirm data, including delivery tools and make payments according to available channels.

If what you want to extend the STNK is someone else’s vehicle, here are the steps:

1. Click the Add symbol button to add digital document vehicle data.
2. Fill in the name of the vehicle owner in the column provided. If the vehicle belongs to the wife or child in one family card (KK), select the option “Owned by a family of one family”.
3. Enter the NRKB (Motor Vehicle Registration Number) in the NRKB column.
4. Enter the last five digits of the engine frame number.
5. Enter the vehicle owner’s NIK and upload an e-KTP photo.
6. After all the data is filled, click “Continue”.
7. A warning appears that the document has been successfully added.
8. Confirm the data, including the delivery address, and make payments according to the available channels.

Payment process

After the STNK ratification process is complete, a pay code will be given. This pay code is only valid for two hours. If you have not made a payment within that time, then the process must be repeated.

Payment steps after getting the pay code:

1. Click the “Continue Payment Process” notification.
2. Generate the pay code, then click “Continue”.
3. Select one of the available banks, then click “Continue”.
4. Display the payment method, then click “Continue”.
5. Make vehicle tax payments.

Payment can be made by transfer or directly at a bank teller. The available banks include BRI, BNI, Mandiri, BCA, BSI, Bank Danamon, and Bank DKI.

After the payment is complete and confirmed, the Signal application will automatically send proof of STNK and TBPKP validation into the application. Thus, vehicle owners can more easily and quickly take care of their vehicle administration without the need to come to the Samsat office.
