Wuling Hongguang Mini EV Launching in 2026 in the Chinese Market
Wuling officially launched the latest model of Hongguang Mini EV in 2026 in the Chinese market. This tiny electric car comes in four variants with prices ranging from 44,800 to 54,800 yuan (around Rp. 95 million to Rp. 119 million) before subsidies.
This latest model still maintains the four-door and four-passenger configuration, but now has updates to the exterior, interior and systems in the cabin. Previously, CarNewsChina reported that the latest version of the Hongguang Mini EV was introduced last February with an updated exterior design, including the use of rounded light elements and a revised body shape.
In terms of design, this model carries a concept called “sweet square”, namely a combination of a boxy silhouette with a touch of rounded elements. This can be seen from the use of round LED headlights, rearview mirrors and other decorative details. There are also three new exterior color options available which are claimed to use an eight-layer painting process.
The dimensions are 3,268 mm long, 1,520 mm wide and 1,575 mm high, with a wheelbase of 2,190 mm. Compared to the previous model, the length and height have increased slightly, while the wheelbase remains the same. The turning radius is claimed to reach 4.5 meters.
More Modern and Functional Interior Design
Entering the cabin, the interior appears with a two-tone color combination, namely brown and white on the seats. The dashboard has also been redesigned with more flexible storage space integration. In addition, the transmission lever has now been moved to the steering column (column-mounted), providing more space on the center console.
A 10.1 inch touch screen is present as the infotainment center with a new interface that supports drop-down control menus. This system is also equipped with four special driving modes, namely rest mode, camping, rain/snow, and pet mode.
The connectivity feature allows users to control the vehicle remotely via a cellphone application, including scheduling the time to start the vehicle and setting the air conditioning. The infotainment system is also planned to support Apple CarPlay, Huawei HiCar, and CarLink via over-the-air (OTA) updates. Not to forget, keyless entry and start features are also available.
Performance and Technical Specifications
For performance, this car is equipped with a 41 hp electric motor, the same as the previous four-door version. Acceleration from 0 to 50 km/h is claimed to be completed in 4.56 seconds. There are two distance options available based on CLTC standards, namely 205 km and 301 km, with energy consumption of 8.9 kWh per 100 km.
The battery used is a lithium iron phosphate (LFP) type. This model offers a combination of aesthetic design, modern technology and performance that is good enough for daily needs. With improvements in various aspects, the Hongguang Mini EV 2026 deserves to be the choice for consumers who are looking for a small electric car that is still full of features.
