Temporary power outage in the Gorontalo area
Today, Tuesday, July 22, 2025, some areas in Gorontalo Province will experience a power outage. This blackout was carried out as part of an effort to increase the reliability of electricity supply to the community. The existing electricity network in the area will undergo a maintenance process so that it can operate optimally.
The blackout is planned to take place from the morning at 09.00 WITA until the afternoon at 16.30 WITA. This means that residents in the area will face blackouts for approximately 9.5 hours. For this reason, the public is advised to be able to adjust their activities that depend on electricity supply. In addition, it is important for residents to ensure that electronic equipment is in a safe condition when the electricity is turned off.
The area affected by the power outage includes several sub-districts in Bone Bolango Regency. Among them are Suwawa Tengah sub-district which includes Alale, Lombongo, Tapadaa, Toloto Village, and Lompototo Villages. Furthermore, the East Suwawa sub-district will also experience blackouts, including the villages of Dumbaya Bulan, Pangi, Panggulo, and Poduwoma.
In the Tilangobula area, especially in the Tinemba area, Tulabolo, West Tulabolo, to East Tulabolo, residents will also experience power outages. Meanwhile, in Pinogu District, areas such as Bangio Village, Dataran Hijau, Pinogu Permai, Tilongbila, and its surroundings will also be affected by this blackout.
The process of maintaining the electricity network is a routine activity carried out by PLN in various regions. The main goal is to minimize the risk of interruption of electricity supply due to tissue damage or old equipment. In addition, this step is also part of the service improvement program and modernization of electricity infrastructure in the Gorontalo Province area.
With this temporary blackout, it is hoped that the community can prepare themselves well. They are advised to keep a reserve of drinking water, ensure electronic equipment is in safe condition, and regulate daily activities so as not to be significantly disturbed.
PLN continues to be committed to providing optimal services to the community. Through routine maintenance activities, it is hoped that the electricity supply can remain stable and safe to use. Residents are expected to understand and support this policy as a form of joint commitment in maintaining the reliability of the electricity system.
