“A significant climate change has emphasized the need to adapt in lifestyle, work methods, and business strategies. We are looking for an environmentally friendly solution to overcome these challenges,” said Royanto when opening the Megabuild Indonesia 2025 event at the Jakarta International Convention Center on Thursday, April 24.

Export opportunities for creative products in the midst of tariff competition
Irene Umar, Deputy Minister of the Creative Economy, highlighted that Megabuild Indonesia, which was initiated by the founder of Panorama Group, Budi Tirtawisata, since the 1998 crisis—has become a great opportunity for the local development sector to expand the export market.
“Many brands from Indonesia have reached the international market and several others are ready to be exported. Although there is a tariff challenge, we do not close ourselves. We are not only targeting architectural products, but also interior design. All we need is further promotion through events such as Megabuild,” Irene said in her speech.
Irene also emphasized that the main attraction of Indonesian creative products lies in Personalization aspect. Over time, products that used to be made on a large scale are now turning to a more personal form, with designs that reflect local characteristics.
“Interior design and architecture in Indonesia tend to be humble, not self-sustaining. Let’s work together, because Indonesia has great products that should be known to the world,” he concluded.
