The price of PLN electricity tokens for the period 28 to 31 July 2025 has been officially established. Based on the information obtained, the electricity tariff per kWh for PLN prepaid customers has not changed. This means that the price of PLN electricity tokens in July 2025 remains the same as before, according to the power class of each customer.

The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) announced the electricity tariff every three months. Adjustment of electricity tariffs for non-subsidized customers is carried out by considering various economic factors such as the rupiah exchange rate, ICP, inflation, and reference coal prices (HBA). However, in the third quarter of 2025, the government decided that electricity tariffs remain unchanged to maintain people’s purchasing power and support national economic growth.

Based on the latest data, the following is a list of electricity tariffs per kWh for non-subsidized household customers which are effective in July 2025:

• 900 VA (R-1/TR): IDR 1,352 per kWh
• 1,300 VA (R-1/TR): IDR 1,444.70 per kWh
• 2,200 VA (R-1/TR): IDR 1,444.70 per kWh
• 3,500–5,500 VA (R-2/TR): IDR 1,699.53 per kWh
• 6,600 VA and above (R-3/TR): IDR 1,699.53 per kWh

Prepaid electricity customers can buy electricity credit at the start and use the token code to activate the meter. The amount of kWh obtained depends on the electricity tariff and the nominal token purchased.

A customer in Jakarta with a power of 1,300 VA buys electricity tokens for Rp. 50,000. If the PPJ in Jakarta is 3 percent, then the calculation is as follows:

• Token Price: IDR 50.000
• PPJ 3 percent: IDR 1,500
• Basic Electricity Tariff: IDR 1,444.70 per kWh

Calculation:

(Rp 50,000 – Rp 1,500) / Rp 1,444.70 = 33.57 kWh

Thus, the customer will get around 33.57 kWh from the purchase of electricity tokens of Rp. 50,000.
