Electric Token Price Applicable on 11-17 August 2025

The price of electricity tokens valid from August 11, 2025 to August 17, 2025 remains the same as the previous period. This is done by the government through the Ministry of Energy and Resources (ESDM) which sets electricity tariffs every quarter or three months. Thus, the electricity tariff for the third quarter (July-September) 2025 is the same as the second quarter (April-June) 2025.

The following is a list of electricity token prices that apply to household customers, businesses, industries, government facilities, and social services for the period 11-17 August 2025:

Household Customer Electric Token Price

Group R-1/Tr Small Power 900 VA-RTM: Rp 1,352 per kWh
Group R-1/Tr Small Power 1,300 VA: Rp 1,444.70 per kWh

how to calculate kWh obtained from purchasing electricity tokens

People can buy electricity tokens with various nominals, such as Rp. 20,000, Rp. 50,000, Rp. 100,000, to Rp. 1 million. The nominal is determined according to the needs, needs, desires, and capabilities of each PLN customer.

Electric tokens purchased by prepaid customers will be converted into kilowatt hours (kWh). This conversion occurs when a customer inserts a power token into a house-mounted electricity meter. Once entered, the amount of KWH will be listed on the meter.

However, the electricity token purchased will be reduced by the Regional Street Lighting Tax (PPJ) determined by each local government. The basic electricity tariff also varies, according to the group of small to large customers, based on the amount of electrical power in volt amperes (VA) meters.

For example, non-subsidized 900 VA household customers in Jakarta buy electricity tokens for Rp. 100,000. If the PPJ is IDR 2,400, then the net value of the electricity token that can be converted to KWH is IDR 97,600. With a basic electricity tariff of Rp. 1,352 per kWh, the number of kWh obtained is 72.19 kWh.

The calculation can be done by the following formula:
(Nominal Token – Regional PPJ) ÷ Basic Electricity Tariff = KWH obtained.

(Rp 100,000 – Rp 2,400) Rp 1,352 = 72.19 kWh.
