The new look of the more modern Malalayang Manado Terminal

Striking Changes in Malalayang Type A Terminal, Manado City

The Malalayang Type A Terminal, which is located in the city of Manado, North Sulawesi, now shows a new, more modern and attractive appearance. This change makes visitors feel more comfortable while in the terminal. Since the renovation, the appearance of the terminal is much different from before.

On Sunday (8/3/2026), the weather conditions in the Manado area looked cloudy in the afternoon. Inside the terminal building, several passengers were seen sitting in the available seats while waiting for the bus departure schedule. The area in the terminal is also equipped with tables and chairs that are neatly arranged, so that it can be used by passengers to rest.

The terminal building now looks wider and brighter with the dominance of large glass walls that allow natural light to enter the room. This creates a brighter and more comfortable atmosphere for visitors. On one side of the room there are a number of stalls selling snacks and drinks for visitors. Meanwhile, in another part, a small stage is also seen equipped with musical equipment.

This terminal serves various travel routes, both inter-provincial city transportation (AKAP) and in-provincial city transportation (AKDP). Several prospective passengers were seen preparing to take the bus that would depart for a number of destinations.

Although most of the facilities can be used, some of the facilities are still in the completion stage. For toilet facilities, there are several units that are still in the process of being repaired. However, two toilets can already be used by people in the terminal area.

One of the visitors, Andri (32), admitted that he was quite impressed with the changes in the terminal. According to him, the atmosphere in the building now looks cleaner and more comfortable than before.

“Now it looks more modern and neat. There are also a lot of seats, so passengers can wait comfortably,” he said.

The same thing was also conveyed by another visitor, Rina (27), who was waiting for the bus departure to go outside the area. He assessed that the existing facilities were quite good, although some parts were still in the completion stage.

“It’s very good when compared to first. There are only a few facilities that are still being repaired, such as toilets. But in general it is comfortable for passengers,” he said.
