Xiaomi Announces HyperOS 3, These Are the Main Changes Offered
Xiaomi Indonesia officially launched HyperOS 3 as the latest operating system update which offers a number of significant changes in terms of design, connection between devices and integration of artificial intelligence.
This operating system is designed to increase stability, cross-device connectivity, and a more intuitive user experience in supporting daily activities. HyperOS 3 is also part of Xiaomi’s “Human x Car x Home” vision, where the software acts as an integration center that connects various devices, from smartphones to smart home devices.
With this approach, Xiaomi wants to ensure that all devices in its ecosystem can work more harmoniously and responsively. Marketing Director of Xiaomi Indonesia, Andi Renreng, explained that HyperOS 3 is a manifestation of Xiaomi’s philosophy of making technology the main driver of digital lifestyle. He emphasized that Xiaomi’s focus is not only on individual devices, but also on the ability of these devices to intelligently communicate with each other to make users’ lives easier.
New Design with HyperIsland Increases Interaction Efficiency
One of the main changes in HyperOS 3 is an updated user interface which now looks fresher with smoother animations. Through HyperIsland, users can see important information such as application activity or music players at the top of the screen without needing to fully open the application.
This system also allows users to respond to notifications more quickly, either by tapping to see details or by swiping the screen to open the application in floating window mode. This approach makes interactions feel more concise and efficient than before.
HyperConnect Strengthens Integration Between Devices
HyperOS 3 also brings improvements to connectivity between devices through HyperConnect technology. Xiaomi developed this feature to remove boundaries between devices and enable a more seamless usage experience.
One implementation is Home Screen+, which allows users to display and control their smartphone screen directly from their tablet or laptop. Through this feature, smartphone applications can be run on a larger screen, and users can also move files using the drag-and-drop method.
Xiaomi also presents the Touch to Share feature which allows instant transfer of photos and documents between Xiaomi devices. In addition, Xiaomi also strengthens security aspects through the MiTEE protocol, which is designed to protect the synchronization process and user biometric data. With this approach, Xiaomi ensures integration between devices remains secure without sacrificing ease of use.
HyperAI Now Comes More Integrated in User Activities
Another change that HyperOS 3 brings is increased artificial intelligence capabilities through HyperAI. Xiaomi integrates AI to help with various productivity and personalization activities.
The AI Writing and DeepThink Mode features allow users to process text and summarize information more efficiently, especially in the Notes application. Meanwhile, the AI Search feature makes it easier for users to find old information or photos with just a simple command.
HyperOS 3 also features Voice Enhancement which functions to improve voice clarity when making calls or recordings by filtering out background noise. In addition, the AI Dynamic Wallpapers feature allows users to turn photos into more lively wallpapers with cinematic visual effects.
This AI integration is designed to help users complete tasks faster and improve the overall device experience.
Update Available Gradually for Various Xiaomi Devices
Xiaomi said that HyperOS 3 will be available via Over-the-Air (OTA) updates in stages. The company ensures that devices that meet the requirements will receive this update to maintain performance and stability.
The list of devices that will receive HyperOS 3 includes various Xiaomi, Redmi, POCO product lines, as well as the Xiaomi Pad tablet. This shows Xiaomi’s commitment to bringing the latest operating system experience to various user segments.
