FTTR Innovation: Solutions for Faster and Stable Home Internet Connection

The need for a fast and stable internet connection at home is increasing. From working, attending online meetings, watching movies, to playing games, the use of the internet is an important part of everyday life. However, many customers still experience problems such as uneven and slow wifi signal in some rooms.

To answer this challenge, IndiHome launched the latest innovation called Fiber To The Room (FTTR). This technology brings fiber optic cable directly to any room in the house, office, or other building. Thus, users can enjoy internet speed up to gigabit-plus, higher reliability, and low latency. General Manager of the Household Consumer Business Region of East Java Telkomsel Deckie Fadzkuri Sukamto explained that FTTR is different from regular wifi. “With FTTR, customers can enjoy fast and stable internet without any dead areas (blank spots),” he said. This technology also supports WiFi 6, so it stays smooth even though it is used by many devices at once. In addition, users remain connected to WiFi even though they move rooms.

Currently, FTTR services are available in several cities and regencies in East Java, such as Surabaya, Sidoarjo, Gresik, Malang, and Batu. To expand access, IndiHome provides a wide selection of packages. The package consists of the main device (main FTTR) and the enhancement (FTTR SUB). Customers can choose from the “1 Main Fttr Device + 1 Fttr Sub Device” to the “1 Main Fttr Device + 4 Sub Devices, depending on the needs of the room you want to cover.

The monthly subscription price includes the main FTR and Fttr sub devices, customer service, warranty, and free device replacement in case of damage. This makes users not have to worry about additional costs during the subscription period.

To register for FTR, customers can access it through the MyTelkomsel application or come directly to the nearest GraPARI. In the future, Telkomsel plans to expand the area that can be reached by this FTTR service. With the presence of FTTR, IndiHome further strengthens its commitment to providing a stable home internet experience and in accordance with customer needs.
