Maintenance of the electricity network in the Kenten area, Palembang

On Wednesday, July 23, 2025, PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) Distribution Main Unit of South Sumatra, Jambi, and Bengkulu (UID S2JB) will carry out maintenance of the electricity network in the Kenten area, Palembang. This activity is planned to take place from 09.00 to 13.00 WIB. This information was conveyed by Iwan Arissetyadhi, Communication Manager of PLN UID S2JB, on Tuesday (22/7/2025).

According to Iwan, this maintenance is part of the routine efforts made by PLN to maintain the reliability of electricity supply to customers. He emphasized that the blackouts that occur are not caused by a lack of power, but as part of planned maintenance.

“We routinely carry out construction maintenance and row work on the electricity network that serves the community. This blackout does not occur due to lack of power, but as part of the maintenance process so that the network remains optimal,” he said.

Iwan emphasized that PLN always tries so that this maintenance process does not cause blackouts. However, if the situation on the ground requires a halt to the electricity supply for the safety of officers and the community, then the blackout will be carried out in a localized manner so that the impact is minimal.

“If to ensure the safety of officers and the surrounding community requires blackouts, officers will strive for the smallest possible impact,” he said.

Check Outages Through the PLN Mobile Application

People can now easily check the condition of power outages in the surrounding environment using the PLN Mobile application. Here are the steps:

Open the PLN Mobile application and login using your account.
Select the “Complaint” menu.
Click “Check off about me”.
Enter your home customer ID.

Through the same application, customers can also report electrical disturbances directly and get the latest status information from PLN.

PLN appeals to the public to anticipate, such as charging electronic devices and planning important activities before the maintenance schedule takes place.
