WhatsApp Trials Chat Feature Without Account, Send Messages Without Application

WhatsApp’s New Feature: Guest Chat That Allows Users Without Accounts to Send Messages

WhatsApp, one of the most popular instant messaging applications in the world, is developing a new feature called Guest Chat. This feature allows users to send and receive messages without having to have a WhatsApp account or install the application. With this feature, WhatsApp tries to provide an easier and faster chatting experience for users who are not familiar with the platform.

The Guest Chat feature was first discovered in the WhatsApp beta update for Android version 2.25.22.13. The WABetaInfo site, which is known as a source of information about WhatsApp updates, reported the existence of this feature. In Guest Chat mode, WhatsApp users can share a special link with someone who doesn’t have a WhatsApp account or hasn’t even installed the application.

When the link is opened by the recipient, they will be redirected to an interface similar to WhatsApp Web. There, recipients can immediately start a conversation as a guest without needing to register or install an application. Although it offers easy access, this feature has some limitations. For example, communication is limited to text only. Users cannot send media such as photos, videos or voice messages, and cannot make voice or video calls.

Additionally, Guest Chat only supports one-on-one chat. This means that this feature does not allow creating chat groups. However, despite these limitations, WhatsApp still ensures that all conversations in Guest Chat are protected by end-to-end encryption. This means that only the sender and recipient can read the contents of the message, even WhatsApp itself cannot access it.

Currently, there is still no official information whether the Guest Chat link is permanent or has a certain active period. Additionally, it is not yet known whether users can create multiple links at once. Even so, this step is seen as WhatsApp’s attempt to reach more potential users. With this feature, users can experience a fast and safe chatting experience without having to go through the registration or application download process.

Until now, WhatsApp has not officially announced when the Guest Chat feature will be widely released to all users. However, with technological developments and increasingly dynamic user needs, this feature could be part of a major innovation in the world of digital communications.
