Omoda O5 SHS-H and JAECOO 5 SHS-H launch globally in China, use fifth generation hybrid engine

At the Omoda and Jaecoo International User Summit in Wuhu, China, two well-known automotive brands, Omoda and Jaecoo, introduced two of their newest models, namely Omoda O5 SHS-H and Jaecoo 5 SHS-H. Both models are equipped with Super Hybrid System (SHS) technology which is claimed to be able to increase vehicle power and longer mileage with environmentally friendly efficiency.

According to Chery Group’s official statement, this SHS technology is the most advanced innovation in its class. This system combines three main elements, namely the fifth generation hybrid engine 1.5 TDGI Dedicated Hybrid Engine (DHE), Dedicated Hybrid Transmission (DHT), and high-performance hybrid special high performance batteries. The collaboration of the three creates a perfect balance between responsive power and mileage efficiency.

Both models are capable of speeding from 0–100 km per hour in just 7.9 seconds with a maximum speed of 175 km per hour. This gives the driver confidence in various road conditions.

Jaecoo 5 SHS-H: British SUV with British

The Jaecoo 5 SHS-H comes as a super power British-style light off-road SUV designed for modern urban explorers. This car offers adaptive capabilities that are balanced between urban driving comfort and toughness in semi off-road terrain. With an efficient fuel consumption of only 5.3L/100km, this car is the ideal choice for users who want flexibility without sacrificing efficiency.
