Don’t forget to replace the diesel filter, the diesel engine injector becomes more durable

The diesel filter is an important component that is needed in a diesel engine. Its function is to maintain the cleanliness of the fuel that enters the engine. This filter is in charge of filtering various impurities and deposits, including sulfur and other substances carried in the fuel.

When the diesel filter becomes dirty, its ability to filter fuel will decrease. This can have a negative impact on other engine components, such as injectors. Therefore, it is highly recommended to regularly replace the diesel filter.

“If we are diligent in replacing the diesel filter, the injector will be more durable,” said Andry Cahyadi, owner of the X-Boost Station workshop.

According to Andry, the injector and diesel filter are interrelated because the injectors require clean fuel. To get clean fuel, good filtering is needed through diesel filter oil.

If the diesel filter is left dirty for a long time, the service life of the injector can run out faster. The price of the original injector is quite expensive, for example for the Toyota Kijang Innova 2KD, the price of one injector can reach Rp. 8 million.

The price difference between solar and injector filters is very significant. The price of a diesel filter is only around Rp. 300 thousand for the original component.

“The replacement of the diesel filter depends on the type of fuel used. If you use biodiesel, it should be replaced every 10,000 kilometers to be safe,” added Andry.

Indeed, the use of fuel with better quality will provide benefits for the engine. Fuel with low sulfur content makes the diesel filter not easily dirty. It also helps maintain overall engine performance.

Thus, it is important to always pay attention to the maintenance of diesel filters. Not only keeping the fuel clean, but also preventing damage to other components in the engine. With proper maintenance, the vehicle will be more durable and save repair costs in the future.
