Electricity Tariff Policy for the Next Three Months

PT PLN’s electricity consumers do not need to worry about the tariff increase in the next three months. The government has determined that the electricity tariff for the fourth quarter of the October-December 2025 period will not be adjusted. This policy applies to all customers, both subsidized and non-subsidized.

The lowest electricity tariff, namely the S-1/TR class of 450 VA power, remains at Rp 325 per kWh. This is the same as the previous rate. Likewise with the groups above it to the highest, such as the R-2 and R-3/TR groups with a power of 3,500-5,500 VA which have a tariff of Rp. 1,699.53 per kWh. For the P-1 and P-3/TR power groups of 6,600 VA-200 KVA, the applicable tariff is also the same, which is Rp. 1,699.53 per kWh.

Electricity tariffs for non-subsidized customers and subsidies have not changed since the first quarter of the January-March 2025 period. According to Plt. Director General of Electricity at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Tri Winarno, the electricity tariff for the fourth quarter should be adjusted. However, the government decided not to increase tariffs in order to maintain people’s purchasing power.

Tri Winarno explained that the use of macroeconomic realization for the tariff adjustment for the fourth quarter of 2025 causes the potential for tariff increases. However, this decision was taken in order to maintain the economic stability of the community. By maintaining electricity tariffs until the end of this year, the government wants to provide certainty and maintain stability for the community and the business world.

List of Electricity Tariffs as of October 1, 2025

The following are the details of the electricity tariff as of October 1, 2025 for all PLN customers:

  • Group R-1/Tr Small Power 900 VA-RTM: Rp 1,352 per kWh
  • Group R-1/Tr Small Power 1,300 VA: Rp 1,444.70 per kWh
  • Group R-1/Tr Small Power 2,200 VA: Rp 1,444.70 per kWh
  • Class R-2/TR Medium Power 3,500-5,500 VA: Rp 1,699.53 per kWh
  • Group R-3/TR, TM large power above 6,600 VA: Rp 1,699.53 per kWh
  • Group B-2/Tr Small Power 6,600 VA-200 KVA: Rp 1,444.70 per kWh
  • Group B-3/TM, TT Medium Power above 200 KVA: Rp 1,114.74 per kWh
  • Group I-3/TM power above 200 KVA: IDR 1,114.74 per kWh
  • Group I-4/TT power above 30,000 KVA: Rp 996.74 per kWh
  • Group P-1/TR Power 6,600 VA-200 KVA: Rp 1,699.53 per kWh
  • Group P-2/TM medium voltage above 200 KVA: Rp 1,522.88 per kWh
  • Group P-3/TR for public street lighting: Rp 1,699.53 per kWh
  • Group L/TR, TM, TT power at various voltages: Rp 1,644.52 per kWh
  • Group S-1/TR Power 450 VA: Rp 325 per kWh
