How to Stop WhatsApp Account Tapping

If you find the characteristics above, immediately take the following steps to secure your account:

1. Re-Login to WhatsApp Account
   
   If the WhatsApp account is hacked, users can try reinstalling the application. Delete the WhatsApp application, then download and reinstall it. After that, log in again with the telephone number used. Verify account by entering the 6-digit code received via SMS. After successful verification, the person tapping will automatically exit the account. If the user has enabled two-step verification, the user will also be asked to enter an additional code. If you don’t know the code, users must wait 7 days to log in without a two-step verification code.

2. Report to WhatsApp Support
   
   If the above method does not work, users can report tapping problems directly to the WhatsApp support email address. Submit a detailed chronology of events, including when and how the account was hacked. The WhatsApp team will conduct an investigation and help restore the account.

Additional Security Tips

To prevent eavesdropping, users are advised to:

• Activate the feature Two-Step Verification. This feature provides extra security by requiring an additional PIN when logging in.
• Routinely check devices connected to your WhatsApp account. If there is a foreign device, remove it immediately.
• Do not share OTP codes or sensitive information with anyone.
