Yamaha has two applications, many users don’t know the difference

Yamaha has two smartphone applications that Yamaha motorbike owners in Indonesia can use. The two applications are Y-Connect and My Yamaha Motor. Even though both are official applications from Yamaha, each has different functions.
Rifki Maulana, PR YRA & Community Manager PT Yamaha Indonesia Motor Mfg., explained that these two applications were created to make it easier for consumers to access Yamaha services digitally. “We launched the Yamaha Apps application which aims to increase consumer satisfaction. This application helps consumers access services and becomes a bridge between consumers and Yamaha,” he said in Central Jakarta, Saturday (7/3/2026).
Digitizing services is one of the steps taken by Yamaha to better suit people’s lifestyles which are now very dependent on smartphones. “This is also Yamaha’s way of keeping up with developments in today’s society, where smartphones are always a daily companion,” added Rifki.
Y-Connect for Connected Motorcycles
The Y-Connect application is used to connect a smartphone with a Yamaha motorbike that already has a Bluetooth connection feature. With this application, users can get various vehicle information directly from their smartphone. Starting from telephone notifications and messages on the motorbike meter panel, last parking location, maintenance recommendations, to fuel consumption data.
Apart from that, Y-Connect also provides notifications if a problem occurs with the motorbike. These features make it easier for users to monitor the condition of their motorbike in real-time.
My Yamaha Motor for All Users
Different from Y-Connect, the My Yamaha Motor application is designed for all Yamaha consumers in Indonesia, both those using connected and non-connected motorbikes. This application focuses more on after-sales service and information for Yamaha motorbike users.
With My Yamaha Motor, consumers can see the motorbike warranty period, service history, owner’s manual, emergency calls, and find the nearest official dealer or repair shop. Users can also book services and receive maintenance schedule reminders automatically.
According to Rifki, this application is designed to make Yamaha services more easily accessible to consumers at any time. “Digitalization makes services more accessible and user-friendly. In addition, the reminder feature on cellphones can help reduce the possibility of forgetting,” he said.
Currently, the My Yamaha Motor application is available for download via the Android and iOS platforms by Yamaha motorbike users in Indonesia.
