Ducati Ready to Launch Panigale V4 SP Next Year

Light, medium, and heavy vehicle development in California

As one of the states in the United States that is very concerned about air quality, including emissions from factories and vehicles, California has a special agency responsible for air and climate hygiene. The agency also designed the next stage for light, medium, and heavy vehicles in the region.

The agency is known as CARB (California Air Resources Board). Recently, CARB has certified Ducati for the new Panigale V4 SP model to be launched in 2027. This information is known through well-known news sources.

The name SP is not foreign to Ducati. This Italian manufacturer has used the name in various lines of models in the past. However, currently there is no SP variant in the Panigale V4 line which is already very dense in model choices. However, this is likely to change ahead of 2027, where the new Panigale V4 SP will be placed between the standard V4 model and the V4 which is a racing homologation version used by various teams in major championships such as WorldSBK and BSB.

Regarding CARB, the agency has certified the Ducati Panigale V4 Model Year 2027 in March 2026. However, Ducati is believed to have submitted a revised version last month which specifically lists the new V4 SP model.

The existence of the new SP version is not surprising, considering the previous generation also featured the SP and SP2 models. Although the details about the new V4 SP are still minimal, what is known is that this bike will carry the same 1,103cc engine used in other Panigale V4 models. The specifications of the new V4 SP are not expected to be much different from the V4 R, which means higher than the current standard V4 model.

Previous SP versions are equipped with various superior components such as Footpeg aluminum billets Adjustable, carbon fiber rim, aluminum fuel tank with finish Brushed, improved Brembo braking system, and more.

Currently, the 2026 Ducati Panigale V4 line includes the previously mentioned V4 and V4 R models, as well as the V4 S, V4 S Corse, V4 Tricolore, Special Edition V4 Marquez 2025 World Champion Replica, and Finally, the V4 S 100 produced in very limited quantities.

Among these models, the standard V4 is a model entry-level of this brand in terms of the price of £ 24,995 (equivalent to Rp 603 million). Next is the V4 S with higher specifications, which is equipped with an electronically controlled öhlins suspension (Smartec3.0), forged aluminum rims, and lithium batteries as an advantage over its sibling. The V4 S is priced starting at £30,695 (Rp 701 million), while the V4 R is priced at £38,995 (Rp 905 million).

What about in Indonesia, will the model also be marketed? Spell Donalsha, COO of Ducati Indonesia once said that every model marketed globally will also be marketed in Indonesia.

“Yes, all global models will also be marketed in Indonesia,” he said when interviewed some time ago.
