SEOUL: Samsung Electronics has announced the start of mass production for its next-generation memory chips, which are designed to support artificial intelligence (AI) technologies. The company claims this development is an “industry-leading” breakthrough that could significantly impact the future of AI.
The high-bandwidth HBM4 chips are expected to play a crucial role in scaling up the data centers that drive the rapid growth of AI. These advanced memory chips are essential for handling the massive amounts of data required by AI systems, making them a key component in the ongoing AI revolution.
One of the primary buyers of these chips is likely to be Nvidia, the world’s most valuable technology company. Nvidia has been at the forefront of AI computing, and its demand for high-performance memory chips is expected to remain strong.
