BYD invites netizens to guess the price of ATTO 1 to be launched
Ahead of the launch of a new electric car at the 2025 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS), BYD Indonesia invites netizens to guess the price of their latest car. This car will be named BYD ATTO 1, which in its home country, China, is known as BYD Seagull.
On the official Instagram account @byd_indonesia, various teasers have appeared regarding the presence of BYD ATTO 1. Starting from the body shape, color, to a few interior details. In an InstaStory upload on Monday (21/7/2025), BYD challenged netizens to guess the price of the new car. There are four price range options provided:
- IDR 150–190 million
- IDR 199–200 million
- IDR 230–280 million
- more than 280 million
Based on the price choice, it can be predicted that the BYD ATTO 1 has a price starting from Rp. 150 million or slightly higher than Rp. 280 million.
BYD ATTO 1 or BYD SEAGULL specifications
BYD ATTO 1 or known as BYD Seagull in China is a hatchback electric car with a futuristic design. The dimensions are quite compact, with a length of 3,780 mm, a width of 1,715 mm, and a height of 1,540 mm. This car is equipped with an electric motor with a power of 55 kW or the equivalent of 73.7 hp, and a maximum torque of 135 Nm.
For the battery, BYD Seagull uses lithium ferrophosphate (LFP) with a capacity of 30.08 kWh. With this combination, this car is claimed to be able to cover a distance of up to 305 km based on the CLTC standard. Meanwhile, the performance is very good because it is able to accelerate from 0 to 50 km / h in 4.9 seconds.
Prices in Chinese Market
In the Chinese market, BYD Seagull is sold at a price of 69,800 yuan or the equivalent of around Rp. 158.9 million (exchange rate of 1 yuan = Rp. 2,276.45 as of July 22, 2025). This illustrates that the price of this car in Indonesia is likely to be slightly more expensive than in China, considering the import costs and taxes imposed.
