Launch of the Suzuki Access 125 at IMOS 2025

PT Suzuki Indomobil Sales (SIS) has just launched its newest automatic motorbike, the Suzuki Access 125, at the Indonesia Motorcycle Show (IMOS) 2025 which took place at ICE BSD, Tangerang. This motorbike was imported completely from India and was one of the main attractions at the exhibition.

In its home country, India, the Suzuki Access 125 is available in three variants, namely the lowest, middle and highest types. The highest variant is even equipped with the ability to connect to a smartphone. However, for the Indonesian market, PT SIS only introduced the middle variant. This is done due to several technical and usage considerations.

“The highest version cannot yet be connected to Google Indonesia services, so we decided to bring the middle version,” said Teuku Agha, who serves as Dept. Head of Sales & Marketing at PT SIS.

Unique Features That Make the Suzuki Access 125 Different

The Suzuki Access 125 has some unusual and eye-catching features. One of them is the use of iron plate material for the front body cover. The front fender, as well as the body cover at the bottom right and left, as well as the exhaust cover, are all made from iron plate. The use of this material is believed to make the component more durable, especially for the harsh driving conditions in India.

Another standout feature is the unusual position of the fuel filler hole. Most automatic motorbikes in Indonesia have a petrol filling hole in the middle or under the seat. However, the Suzuki Access 125 has a petrol filling hole at the rear. With this position, motorbike owners don’t need to bother opening the seat when filling up with petrol, making it more practical and efficient.

Sophisticated Starter System

The third feature that is characteristic of the Suzuki Access 125 is the starter system known as the Suzuki Easy Start System. This feature allows users to only need to touch the starter button once to start the engine. This system works by the ECU (Engine Control Unit) controlling the electricity supply so that the engine can start as soon as the button is pressed.

Although previously features like this were more commonly found on motorbikes with large engine capacities, Suzuki has succeeded in implementing them on automatic motorbikes with small engines. This shows the innovation carried out by manufacturers in increasing user comfort.

Price and Conclusion

The Suzuki Access 125 is priced at IDR 25.5 million. Even though the price is quite high, the unique features offered make it an attractive choice for consumers who are looking for an automatic motorbike with a different design and technology than what is usually found in the Indonesian market.
