Japanese LED lights are more expensive, here’s the explanation

Jakarta – LED lights are often the main choice for car owners. Besides being brighter and more energy efficient, this lamp also has a longer service life than other types of lamps.
Interestingly, in the Indonesian market, LED lights made in Japan have a more expensive price than European brands, especially Germany. This was revealed by Fredy, a seller from the Adventure Accessories Store located at MGK Kemayoran, Jakarta.
“Japanese LED lights are more expensive than those from Europe. Here, there are brands such as Osram, Hella, Philips, and Dr. Fisher from Germany. While from Japan, there are PIAA,” he said..
LED lights from Japan, such as PIAA, are known to have advantages in the durability and consistency of light. Therefore, many users choose it if it prioritizes quality and durability, even though the price is higher.
“Yes, the price is more expensive. But the warranty is longer. This means that they are more confident in the quality of the product. So, the goods are also more durable,” added Fredy.
Fredy explained that LED light stands for Light Emitting Diode. This technology works using a semiconductor chip that emits light when electrified. In contrast to halogen lamps that use filaments or HIDs that require xenon gas.
Due to its high efficiency, LED lights are now widely used for various functions in cars, ranging from headlights (headlamps), day lights (DRLs), brake lights, to turn signals. In addition, LED lights also offer a more flexible design. Car manufacturers can create thinner, futuristic, and modern lamps without compromising the quality of lighting.
