Attractive Discounts for Electric Cars in the Indonesian Market
Several electric car dealers in Indonesia are now starting to offer various attractive offers that can make consumers more interested in buying a battery-based vehicle (Battery Electric Vehicle/BEV). Various well-known brands such as Wuling, Chery, Hyundai, and Vinfast participated in this discount program.
Discount Offer from Wuling
The Chinese brand, Wuling, provides a fairly large discount for some of its electric car models. Based on the information obtained, the discount offer from Wuling reached tens of millions of rupiah. Each model has a different amount of discount according to the variant chosen by the consumer.
A Wuling salesperson explained that the discount for the Wuling Air EV model ranges from Rp. 30 million to Rp. 70 million. Meanwhile, for the Binguo EV model, the discount offered reaches Rp. 30 million to Rp. 40 million. For the Cloud EV model, the discount given is Rp. 50 million to Rp. 65 million. The amount of the discount depends on the type of car chosen.
Discount Offer From Chery
Besides Wuling, another Chinese manufacturer, Chery, also provides discounted prices for electric cars. One of the models that gets a discount is the J6. Chery salespeople said that for the purchase of J6, consumers will get a discount of Rp. 15 million. However, for the Omoda E5 model, there are no discount offers available.
Discount Offers from Hyundai
The South Korean manufacturer, Hyundai, also enlivened the electric car market by providing a fairly large discount. The IONIQ 5 model, one of Hyundai’s flagship electric cars, gets a discount of Rp. 300 million. However, please note that the discount is included with the government subsidies given for the use of electric cars.
A Hyundai salesperson said that the discount provided includes all available discounts and subsidies. This makes the final price more affordable for consumers.
Discount Offer from Vinfast
From the side of the manufacturer from Vietnam, Vinfast also did not miss in providing discounts for electric cars. One of the models that gets attractive offers is the VF3. This car is priced at an initial price of IDR 230,130,000, but after getting a discount, the selling price is lower.
Vinfast salesperson said that the discount given was Rp. 37,850,000, so the price after the discount became Rp. 92,280,000. Thus, consumers can get electric cars at more competitive prices.
